Cookies
The short version: this website does not set any. Here is the longer version, and what changes once you log in.

This website sets no cookies
barberdata.com stores nothing on your device. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no embedded video, no social widget, no third-party font and no CDN — every file on the page comes from our own server. That is why you are not being asked to accept anything: we have nothing to ask about.
You can check this yourself. Open your browser's developer tools, look under Storage, and the cookie list for this site will be empty.
Why we bothered
A consent banner is what a website shows when it wants to do something the visitor would not otherwise agree to. Removing the reason for the banner seemed better than making everybody click one.
What changes when you log in
The application at barberdata.com/app is different, because it has to remember who you are between pages. It sets two cookies, both strictly necessary and neither used for tracking or advertising:
| Cookie | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps you signed in. It holds a random value that means nothing on its own and is matched against our records. Cleared when you sign out, and expires on its own. |
| Interface cookie | Remembers short-lived things between one page and the next — which shop you were looking at, and a token that protects forms from being submitted by another site on your behalf. |
Both are exempt from the consent requirement because the service cannot work without them, and neither follows you anywhere else. If you block them, signing in will not work.
If we ever add analytics
We may eventually want to know which pages people find useful. If we do, we will choose something that measures pages rather than people and stores nothing on your device. If that ever proves impossible, you will get a genuine choice before anything is set — and this page will say so before it happens, not after.
