Privacy notice
What we collect, why we collect it, and how to make us stop. Written for people, not for lawyers.

Who we are
BarberData is a product of Aftermath Ltd., a company registered in Malta, company number C110654, VAT number MT31570511. We are the data controller for the information described on this page. Write to hello@barberdata.com about anything here.
Where a barbershop uses BarberData to run its business, that shop is the controller of its own customers' information and we act as its processor. This notice covers what we collect directly — chiefly through this website.
What this website collects
The only thing you can submit here is the early-access form. When you use it we store:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | To contact you about BarberData before and at launch. Nothing else. |
| Shop name (optional) | So we know who we are talking to when we reply. |
| IP address | To stop the form being flooded with automated submissions, and to show we handled a request from you. |
| Browser and referring page | To diagnose the form when it misbehaves and to know which page sent you. |
| The version of this notice, and when you submitted | So we can show you exactly what you were told at the time. |
That is the complete list. There is no analytics script on this website, no advertising pixel, no session cookie and no third-party font or CDN request — the page is served entirely from our own server, so nothing about your visit is shared with anyone else simply by loading it.
Our lawful basis
For the early-access list we rely on your consent, given by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any moment and we will delete the record. For the short-lived record of submission attempts used to block spam, we rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable; those records are kept briefly and then deleted.
How long we keep it
- Early-access entries — until launch and for up to twelve months after, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first.
- Anti-spam records — deleted within thirty days.
Who else sees it
Our hosting provider stores the data on our behalf inside the EU. We will use an email provider to send you messages about launch. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we have no third-party trackers on this site. If that ever changes, this notice changes first and we will tell you before it takes effect.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or object to it. You can also ask for it in a portable format. Email hello@barberdata.com and we will respond within one month. There is no charge and you do not need to give a reason to be removed from the list.
If you think we have handled your information badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Maltese supervisory authority, the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC).
About the cameras
BarberData sells barbershops a camera that measures how their shop runs. It is worth being plain about this even though it does not affect visitors to this website. Inside a participating shop, the shop is the controller of that processing and is responsible for telling its customers and staff about it. We publish guidance and notice templates to help shops do that properly, and our contract with each shop sets out what the equipment may and may not be used for.
Children
This website and the early-access list are meant for business owners. We do not knowingly collect information about children through it.
Changes
When this notice changes we update the version and date at the top. Where a change is significant and we hold your email address, we will tell you directly rather than expect you to check.
